PROGRAM
WHO WE SERVE

Our programs aim to support students within four target populations (high-achieving, at-promise, identity-specific, and low-income students) from the Stanislaus County region of the Central Valley. Though our programs are open to all Stanislaus County students, inquiries by students in our target groups will be prioritized.

For detailed target population eligibility criteria, please view our Target Populations List.

FELLOWS PROGRAM

The Fellows Program is designed to connect college students, our College Fellows, from high graduation rate institutions with high school students, our Student Fellows, to help navigate the college admissions process.

Throughout the program, College and Student Fellows work to complete FellowPath, a curriculum designed to help Fellows navigate the college admissions process in an organized, intentional, and inclusive manner.

If you have any questions regarding the Fellows Program, please contact the Office of Programs at fellows@valleyscholars.org.

WORKSHOPS PROGRAM

The Workshops Program is designed to engage high school students in collaborative and student-led programming efforts around issues of college access.

Our program provides a variety of workshop programming and design, from panel discussions to leadership conferences. Workshop cohorts can select to engage with either our virtual or in-person sessions.

If you have any questions regarding the Workshops Program or are interested in supporting us in one of our workshops, please contact the Office of Programs at workshops@valleyscholars.org.

SCHOLARSHIPS PROGRAM

The Scholarship Program is a collection of scholarship opportunities we offer to our target populations to assist them in their pursuit of a college degree.

We administer two scholarships: the President's Scholarship and the Black Student Scholarship. The President's Scholarship is a merit scholarship sponsored by the Office of the President awarded to students within our target populations. Our Black Student Scholarship is a community scholarship awarded to Black students in the Valley by a collaborative panel of Black community leaders.

We also partner with our local schools to sponsor merit scholarship awards designed to support our target populations in their pursuit of a college degree. These scholarship applications are managed by our partner high schools through their respective applications.

If you have any questions regarding the Scholarships Program, please contact the Office of Programs at scholarships@valleyscholars.org.

ESSAYS PROGRAM

The Essays Program is designed to connect a college essay expert, our Essay Fellows, with high school students to help navigate the college admissions essay, aiding through all processes in the essay process.

Our program provides students with one-on-one sessions with our Essays Fellows where they review the student's college and scholarship essays. Essay Fellows are available to assist students through the entire process or simply as a third-party reviewer.

If you have any questions regarding the Essays Program, please contact the Office of Programs at essays@valleyscholars.org.
